Dragon boats are essentially gigantic canoes that differ from classic canoes in terms of their size and unique appearance. They owe their origin to the Asian continent and the cultural space there, where the history of rowing competitions held with them goes back as far as the ancient Olympic Games in Ancient Greece.

The experience

Full-size dragon boats are giant canoes with 20+2 seats, where riders sit side by side in pairs, rowing with oars, one on each side. In addition to the oarsmen, the boat crew includes a helmsman and a beat drummer who ensures the rowing rhythm. We welcome you on the dragon boat trip as a group of up to 40 people. The trip location can be chosen according to your wishes, because boat transport is possible anywhere in Estonia. The dragon boat is a safe, wide-bottomed vessel providing the stability that will please even the most cautious adventurer. It must be remembered that the length of the boat including the tail and horns is about 12 metres, so not every pond or winding river is suitable. We recommend the Pirita River, where stops on the tour include the Soviet-era underground secret naval command centre and the Pirita Monastery.

Finishing touch

If desired, the adventure can be finished with a picnic in nature, which includes grilling sausages over an open fire and a delicious hiking drink.
